Nocturne HD Remaster has sold 600,000 copies worldwide – Fresno
This was revealed in the latest Atlus financial report Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne HD Remaster has summed up 600,000 copies sold worldwide since its launch in October 2020 in Japan and August 2021 in Europe and North America.
A figure that confirms the growing popularity of the series and Atlus games in general. 600,000 copies may not seem like a lot, but in reality it is a more than positive result for the re-release of a title that belongs to a rather niche genre.
Just to make a comparison, Shin Megami Tensei 5, the last chapter of the series, has exceeded 1 million copies according to data published by Atlus in April, although we must take into account the fact that in this case we are talking about a game available exclusively for Switch, while Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne HD Remaster has also landed on PS4 and PC.
Regarding the rising popularity of Shin Megami Tensei, Sega announced yesterday that it plans to adapt Atlus games, including those from the Persona series, into live-action TV series and movies.
