Coronavirus data in Italy today, Thursday 6 January
In the last 24 hours in Italy, 219,441 positive cases of coronavirus and 198 deaths due to COVID-19 have been detected. Currently the hospitalized are 15,294 (502 more than yesterday), of which 1,467 in the intensive care wards (39 more than yesterday) and 13,827 in the other wards (463 more than yesterday). 360,271 molecular swabs and 778,039 rapid antigenic tests were analyzed. The percentage of positive molecular swabs was 26.73 percent, while that of antigen tests was 15.82 percent. On Wednesday, 189,109 infections were recorded and 231 deaths.
The regions that have recorded the most cases in the last 24 hours are Lombardy (52,693), Emilia-Romagna (38,528), Veneto (18,129), Tuscany (17,286), Campania (16,512).
